Yes, this can work for close-up. However, I wouldn’t perform it for less than four people and it’s not ideal for a walk-around situation since it doesn’t quickly reset.
Yes, this can be performed in any language. However, you’d have to modify certain parts of the routine for it to work. I’ve included the English and German versions of the trick in the book.
Most of the shows that I perform this in are mixed audiences of both kids and adults of 8 and up and it goes over great. However, because it is a mentalism routine, I wouldn’t recommend performing it for an audience made up strictly of young children.
Nope, this doesn’t require any special gimmicks to work other than materials found at an office supply store. In fact, I’ve been able to quickly put this together with items on hand at house parties.
